What are people living in Denmark doing to avoid being infected by the corona virus?
Participants were asked which precautions they are taking to avoid being infected by the corona virus. In general, almost all of the respondents are washing their hands and using hand sanitiser more often; they are also maintaining physical distance from others.
Furthermore, approximately 90% of the families with children reported that they are restricting physical contact with everyone except the people they live with. In both the general population and amongst older people, slightly fewer people are doing this.
Fewer than one in ten individuals are covering their mouths and noses when they are in public places; here, there was a modest difference between the groups, with older people being less likely to do so than families with young children and the general population.
Finally, between 70–80% of respondents reported that they are avoiding both public transportation and travel in general.
